About this service
Packing services: what we actually do on the day.
You do not have to lift a box. We arrive with double-walled dish-pack boxes, unprinted packing paper, bubble wrap, tape, and a marker, and we pack room by room. Every box gets labeled with the destination room, a content note, and a fragile flag where it applies.
Fragile-only packing is the most common setup: you pack your own closets and books, and we handle the kitchen, the art, the china, and the electronics, the rooms where do-it-yourself packing damage happens most. Full-service packing wraps the whole home in one to two days, and unpacking service gets kitchens and closets put away at the destination.
What we do not do: rush a kitchen. Plates packed flat-stacked break in transit, and we will not pack them that way.

The walkthrough is what makes the estimate accurate, we see the inventory, the stairs, and the parking, and that's how we hand you a number that doesn't move on move day.

A video tour or an in-person visit. We see the inventory, ask about parking, stairs, and timing, and the written estimate follows.

Plan & schedule
Confirm the date, send the written estimate, issue COI to the destination building if commercial, coordinate freight elevators with property management.

Execute
The same crew from the first box to the last. Pad-wrap, floor protection, inventory at the truck, dedicated truck (no shared loads on interstate), GPS check-ins during transit.

Walk the result
Unload, reassemble, place every piece where the customer wants it. Final walkaround together. Nothing leaves until everything is signed off.

Middlesex is our busiest county north of the shore. Heavy mix of Rutgers faculty and graduate-student moves around New Brunswick, plus the Route 1 corridor's tech and pharma relocations. NJ Turnpike and Route 287 access makes it straightforward to reach from Wall Township, and most Middlesex moves are scheduled inside the same week we get the quote signed.

The closest county to our Wall Township base after our own, about fifteen minutes down Route 35. Ocean work splits three ways: family moves through Toms River and Brick, downsizing out of the retirement communities across Berkeley, Barnegat and western Toms River, and barrier-island moves at Ortley Beach and Normandy Beach where houses sit raised on pilings and a long carry is the rule. Those are three different jobs and we crew them differently.

Ask us anythingCan you pack just the fragile items?
Yes. Fragile-only packing is the most common way people use this: we handle the kitchen, the artwork, the electronics and anything glass, and you do the books, linens and clothes. It costs less than a full pack and covers the things most likely to break.
When should packing happen relative to move day?
Usually the day before for a full pack, so nothing is rushed and the truck loads first thing. Fragile-only packing can happen the morning of the move for a smaller home.
Do you supply the boxes and materials?
Yes, materials are included when we pack. Boxes, paper, bubble, tape and custom crating for artwork and televisions.
Do you unpack as well?
Unpacking is available as an add-on. It is most worth it for kitchens and closets, which are the two rooms that otherwise stay in boxes for weeks.
What is the difference between packers and movers?
Packing is getting your belongings into boxes safely. Moving is getting them onto a truck and into the new place. Plenty of companies do one and subcontract the other, which is how a china barrel ends up packed by someone who will never have to carry it. We do both with our own crews, so the people who wrapped your kitchen are the people loading it, and there is nobody to point at if something arrives broken.
What does packing service include?
The materials and the labor. Double-walled dish-pack boxes for the kitchen, unprinted paper so nothing comes out smudged, bubble wrap, tape, and custom crating for artwork, mirrors and televisions. Every box is labeled by room and by what is in it, and the inventory goes to you rather than staying with the crew. You can book the whole house or just the fragile rooms, which is how most people use it.
What will packers not pack?
Anything that can leak, burn or explode, which is a legal restriction rather than a preference: propane tanks, gasoline and kerosene, paint and solvents, aerosols, pool chemicals, ammunition, and open liquids including part-used cleaning bottles. Perishable food from the fridge and freezer goes in the same category on a long move. Separately, we ask you to carry your own cash, jewelry, passports, medication and anything irreplaceable, not because we expect a problem but because those things should never be out of your hands. We flag all of it during the walkthrough so there are no surprises on the morning.
What is the minimum charge for packers and movers?
There is a practical floor on any job, because a crew and a truck have to turn up whether the job takes three hours or eight. What we will not do is publish that floor as a starting price, because it tells you almost nothing about your move and it is the number people later feel misled by. On a small job, say a one-bedroom with a fragile-only pack, we will give you the figure on the call once we know the address and the access.
How much does it cost to pack and move a 2000 sq ft house?
Square footage is the weakest predictor in this trade, and it is the one every online calculator uses. Two houses of exactly that size can be double each other: one is a couple who have lived there three years with a finished basement they never filled, the other is a family of five with a full garage, a china cabinet, a piano and forty years of accumulation. What actually sets the number is how much there is, how many fragile items need individual wrapping, the stairs and the carry at both ends, and whether we are packing the whole house or only the kitchen and the art. That is why the walkthrough exists, and why it takes twenty minutes rather than asking you for a square-foot figure.
